Jewelry and Metals
Sterling silver is an alloy of different metal types. It contains about 92.5% silver with the remaining amount of other metals (usually copper and other alloys). It is a very popular metal used for jewellery making unlike pure silver which is very soft, and could easily break if used in jewelry.
925 sterling silver could tarnish overtime due to the other metals added. If you come in regular contact with chemicals like beauty products being applied over and above your product, or coming in constant contact with water, it could tarnish. Looking after your silver jewellery is important and helps it shine for long.
Showering with your sterling silver jewellery shouldn't affect the piece, but it could lead to tarnishing overtime.
We encourage you to remove your jewellery before showering.
One might think that its better to store your sterling silver jewellery than wear it. BUT do just the opposite!
One of the best ways to keep sterling silver shining and beautiful is to always wear it. Ofcourse, take necessary precautions to maintain the piece.
Wipe off any residue if there is on the piece after wearing, polish and clean the piece to maintain the shine and avoid any contact with chemicals.
Storing your jewellery is important. Keeping it wrapped under a soft cloth in a zip lock can help minimize the reaction with the air.
Silver is a soft, so gentle cleaning is key. A mix of warm water and little soap, or even baby shampoo, will usually do the trick for cleaning everyday jewelry.
To polish, use the cloth to wipe the piece back and forth in a singular direction. Polish silver jewelry with the cloth’s inside first, then lightly buff it with the outside to create a rich luster.
You can also use commercial silver polish: First use a damp cloth to wipe the silver jewellery and dry it carefully. Wear gloves when using the polish. Use a damp soft cloth with little of the solution and use it over the silver. Rub the solution in circular motions till you see the tarnish is removed and you see a shine. Remove the polish with a clean, damp cloth when finished. Using a jewellery cleaner: Put the jewellery in a tray with little solution, let it be there for about 30 seconds, brush it lightly and then rinse the jewellery under lukewarm water.
The diamonds used are Gemmologically Modified Diamonds. These diamonds have been scientifically modified to make the overall appearance more appealing with its vibrancy of colour. A strong ionic beam is aimed towards the diamond which shakes the bonds between its carbon atoms. The gap created will then absorb the red frequency waves, giving the diamond a blue colour if the stone was originally brown or yellow. The intensity of colour depends on the amount of power of the beam and the duration to which it is exposed. The stone will then be heated and slowly cooled to finalise its colour.
This heating alters the atomic structure, replacing the gaps with nitrogen atoms that will help generate a new colour with its different absorption.
We provide a Certificate of Authenticity with every piece delivered to assure that these are natural diamonds. Even if the stone is tested or given to any institution it will notify as a natural treated diamond.
